Prodigy VS. K FLO!?!
As reported by SherDog
1. B.J. Penn (13-5-1)
Greasing controversies aside, Penn was dominated from bell to bell by rival Georges St. Pierre in their Jan. 31 superfight. What the loss means for Penn is anyone's best guess given the mercurial decision-making of "The Prodigy." If the UFC has its way, Penn will head back to 155 to defend his title against Kenny Florian come June.

Shed 26 UFC 94 Recap: Grease-Gate
Controversy Surrounds UFC 94 Main Event: Accusations Swarm About St. Pierre “Greasing Up"
Controversy Surrounds UFC 94 Main Event: Accusations Swarm About St. Pierre “greasing Up"
A tough night for the lone BJ Penn fan in the Shed 26 on Saturday night. From the start, it looked bad for the prodigy, coming in at a robust 169 lbs and GSP with GSP hydrating back to 189 lbs. All the "BJ rededicating himself" talk looked to be mostly ticket sales hype, as the expression on BJ's face at the start of the fight looked much like yours truly after another one of Bri-boy's jambalaya gas explosions from one chair away. Looked like he just realized he had brought a knife to a gun fight.

Although BJ was dominated in all phases, it was nice to wake up to the GSP Grease-ing scandal...now we know why he was slipping out of BJ's rubber guard so easily early in the fight. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that a "dry" GSP (that doesn't sound right...one sec, let me see if dryGSP.com is available) would have instantly found himself trapped in a signature BJ Pen Omiplata, but the scandal does cut into the "Mr. Nice Guy from the north" rep a bit.
Most of the other fights went wrong for your friendly Shed 26 UFC Correspondent as well, with LNP (Lay N' Pray) the major theme of the night, if felt like Kieth was going to run up the Shed stairs wearing a tin foil suit at any minute....Vision (Con)Quest? Sorry that was bad...it's my first official correspondent blog so cut me some slack.
St Pierre will most like take on Thiago Alves mid year, while BJ Penn will move back down to lightweight to take on Shed 26 favorite Kenny Florian for the lightweight belt. Both great Shed 26 Fight Nights.
Upcoming Events to watch:
UFC® Fight Night™ Lauzon vs Stephens - Feb-7-2009
Good, but not quite "Shed-Worthy...We all know that Dan Lauzon did not impress Jay C with last weeks Affliction fight, but you've got the check out his big brother Joe "J-Lau" Lauzon fight...he's legit and he is fighting Jemery Stephens ... the dude who crushed that guy with an upper cut at the Shed UFC 2 a few months ago...
Also this free fight night card, while it isn't packed with household names, is loaded with some of the most entertaining and up and coming fighters in the sport..Cain Velasquez, Josh Neer, Amir Sadollah, Rich Clementi and Anthony Johnson
UFC® 95 Diego SANCHEZ vs Joe STEVENSON - Feb-21-2009
Mediocre overall card, and this main fight shouldn't really be a headliner for PPV. This event will be held in the UK and looks like it's going to be a American wrestling clinic all night....fight of the night will be Paul Kelly vs. Troy Mandaloniz
UFC® 96 JACKSON vs JARDINE - Mar-7-2009
Definitely a Shed UFC night!! This is stacking up to be a great card...chock full of great fighters who come to fight...The headliner, while a great match up, is a little disappointing as I was looking forward to Rampage getting a shot at Rashad Evan's Title...but who doesn't like the Dean of Mean!!! (Jay P90 Conquest, that's who)...Rampage and Jardine are always great to watch and you know someone is going to wake up in the gentle hands of Mario Yamasaki..
Fight of the night will be Shane Carwin vs. Gariel Gonzaga...both monsters and two of the only guys in the world with the ability to knock out Brock Lestner with one Canned Ham Punch. Also that night we'll see three other entertaining fighters in complete tomato-can match up's: Matt Hamill, Tim Boetsch and Brandon Vera should all destroy their opponents in convincing fashion..
That's all from your trustee Shed 26 Fight Night Correspondent

St. Pierre on Penn: 'I Want to Take Him Out'
“I’m going to fight him in a way that nobody has fought him before,” UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre says of his rematch with B.J. Penn. “I’m going to break him mentally before he breaks physically.”
The first meeting between the two world-class fighters went to St. Pierre via split decision. Peaks and valleys have followed since that epic showdown in March 2006, but the storyline remains the same.
Make no mistake, Penn and St. Pierre are amongst the finest the sport of mixed martial arts has to offer. When the champions collide Saturday at UFC 84, forget the titles and reputations. It’s man versus man, artist versus artist.
Speaking with Sherdog.com’s Greg Savage in an exclusive video interview, St. Pierre discusses his first duel with Penn and what the second encounter will hold.
